Isle of Arran
The Isle of Arran is known as 'Scotland in miniature' due to the diversity of geology, habitat, and wildlife that this small island in the Firth of Clyde off the Ayrshire coast presents. It is also home to three castles and innumerable prehistoric sites. As an island, it has a long coastline, and you are never far from the sea. This gallery presents a selection of photographs of the landscape, nature and historic sites that the island has to offer, captured during a winter visit. Weather was changeable.
