Scottish Wildlife
Scotland has a fantastic and unique flora and fauna. Although not as spectacular or visible as the wildlife of Africa (see images in my other galleries), we have our characteristic terrestrial large mammals, and an impressive marine mammal list. Our smaller mammals include the carnivores, and their prey. We have a great bird list. In addition, there are countless invertebrate species, and interesting plant species. I only wish that I had photographed more of them – photographing Scottish nature is a challenge! Here I present photographic images of Scottish plants, flowers, birds, amphibians, and mammals. An introduction to Scotland’s biodiversity. Red squirrel included!
