Live Music - Gigs - Prog
Photos from live music (gigs). Progressive Rock, Prog Rock, Prog.
I've been to lots of great gigs over the years, but not photographed them. After the hiatus of live music during COVID-19 and lockdown, I felt compelled to take a few snaps at whatever gigs I am lucky enough to enjoy going forwards. Afterall, none of us are getting any younger. At some point both me and the bands will be Too Old To Rock And Roll... so its nice to have some personal pictorial memories of the events, and to share them here. Although, it is, ofcourse, always the music that makes the gig.
Immerse yourself in photos showcasing the quirkiness of Jethro Tull via the Martin Barre Band, the emotion of Jakko Jakszyk (of King Crimson) presenting The Road To Ballina, the folksy one-man band of Richard Thompson, the intimate raw power of Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy, a class-ical (and humorous) perspective of Rick Wakeman being a Grumpy Old Rock Star, the orchestral side of Rick Wakeman taking to the stage (cape included) with The English Rock Ensemble, the choral quirkiness of Focus, the magnificence of Steve Hackett (of Genesis) with Genesis Revisited rebooting Seconds Out, and Foxtrot At Fifty, and Genesis themselves playing prog and pop live for the last time, with The Last Domino!
There is more to come. So, please revisit for more Prog (and maybe a bit of pop and rock...)
