To say the day was damp would be the understatement of the century. It rained down continuously, and I sought out a composition that reflected the mood alongside playing to the wet conditions; the bracken (or fern, Pteridium aquilinum) and foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) stands thrive in the Highland weather, and a muted abstract suggesting shape and colour seemed the best way to capture the scene and conditions.
