Sunrise Giraffe
It is wonderful enough to wake to a spectacular dawn light as the sun rises. The sky was on fire with a stunning orange light. Imagine my delight when the silhouette of giraffe necks appeared on the horizon behind the alien-esque scrub vegetation of the karoo. This was a magical moment. It might be difficult to envisage, this is Africa afterall, but there was a thick frost on the ground and the temperature was below zero. The scene before me was magical, stunning, unique. Unforgettable. Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis).
