The Joppa Whale

It was difficult to estimate the size of the sperm whale; other than the fact that it looked massive. The figure on the rocks helps to give scale, but the rocks are slightly in the foreground so the person looks relatively larger than if they had been standing directly beside the carcass. Reports state that the whale measured 13.8 metres in length.
